The 40th annual Art Auction for the WaterWorks Art Museum opened Saturday August 15th with a Members and Artist preview with a Public Reception the following Sunday afternoon. The works of 64 artists were viewed and voted on for Peoples Choice as members, guests and artists enjoyed a nice spread of goodies.
The winners of the People’s Choice Awards are as follows:
1st Place: Learning to Fly by Elizabeth Smith
2nd Place Tied between: Some Days You’re the Worm by Keely Perkins & Lucky Friday by Nolan Salix
All pieces of the Live and Silent Auctions will be on display at 7:30pm. The quality of this year’s Art Auction Exhibit is exceptional, as always. It represents a broad base of local, Montana and national artists.
Miles City artists include: Garry Anderson, Jake Klamm, Jessica Blankenship, Karan Charles, Marshall Haferkamp, Shannon Holmen, Chet Holmes, Vida Landa, Keely Perkins, Sharon Smith, Travis Stinson, Carolyn Zimmerman, and Jerry Fischer. Eastern Montana artists include: Shayla Hagen, Sharon Pachl, Elizabeth Smith, and Tom Temple. Other Montana artists contributing are: Ann Patterson Bishop, Meagan Blessing, Michael Blessing, Lynn Cain, Josh DeWeese, Elliot Eaton, Kathryn Fehlig, Charles Fulcher, Mimi Grant, Betsey Hurd, Lance Johnson, Neil Jussila, Allen Knows His Gun, Harry Koyama, Tess Lehman, Pam Little, Gordon McConnell, Alan McNiel, Judy Michael, Shawna Moore, Dawn Ness, Bruce Park, Parks Reece, Nolan Salix, Ginnie Streeper, Lynn Thorpe, Sue Tirrell, Cathy Toot, Connie Tveten, James Vincent, Jeff Walker, and Carol Welch.
