August 12 – Members Preview, Saturday 6-9 pm
August 13 – Public Reception & Quick Finish 1-4 pm
Exhibit: August 12 Through Sept. 30 42nd Annual ART AUCTION Exhibit
Auction: September 30 Saturday 7pm
WaterWorks Art Museum (WAM) is gearing up for the Annual Art Auction. The Auction is WAM’s largest fundraiser of the year and artists across the nation send art to help support the museum’s programs. WAM would not be able to offer this event if it were not for our local sponsor, First Interstate Bank. They not only help monetarily but also volunteer to be the auction clerk and help in other areas the night of the big event. WAM will hold two opening receptions. The first is a members only preview which will be held Saturday evening August 12, from 6-9 pm. Local artist Jessica Blankenship, and full-time doctor and part-time potter, Peter D’Ascoli will be doing a quick finish during this preview. The next afternoon, Sunday, August 13, from 1-4 pm a public reception will be held.
Jessica Blankenship and artist Dana Zier from Bridger will share their quick finish skills during the Sunday opening. The opening receptions also start the silent auction that does not close until the night of the Art Auction September 30. Bid sheets will accompany each piece, and all will have a buy it now price. If you see a piece you don’t want to lose out on, the buy it now price guarantees it will go home with you.
